Playa Vista

One of Southern California’s newest zip codes – 90094 – Playa Vista is a sprawling residential mixed-use development between Marina del Rey and Westchester and a short hop north of Los Angeles International Airport. Comprised of single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, and lofts in a variety of sizes and styles, Playa Vista has numerous on-site amenities, including parks, green belts, waterways, library, recreation centers, as well as commercial and retail space. As new owners begin to take possession of their homes, development is still underway, and plans include 23 parks that collectively will amount to over 750 acres, with accessible paths, bikeways and nature trails. A number of retail centers served by trams will provide convenient shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and even health care for residents. Located just a mile from the beach in Playa del Rey, Playa Vista is built on land that was the heart of the aerospace empire of Howard Hughes, and which still includes the 315,000 square-foot airplane hangar where he built the legendary Spruce Goose.
